Thankfully, there are plenty of foods that can stop you from shaking. If you make sure you keep these snacks on hand, you should be able to stop your shaking right away.
1. Get Some Protein
The body needs protein for fuel to get through the day. If your body doesn’t have enough protein, even simple tasks can be draining.
Try to carry some protein-rich snacks with you. This could be a handful of nuts, or a slice of deli meat. Even a little bit of protein can make a big difference.
2. Try Some Carbs
While a low carb diet can help you lose weight, there are some people that take things too far. If you have problems with shaking, try to make sure that you are eating enough cars.
Whole wheat is your best option if you want some quick carbs. However, fruit can be a good source of carbohydrates as well.
3. Raise Your Blood Sugar
Sometimes, people get tremors because their blood sugar is low. The best way to increase your blood sugar is by eating something sugary yourself.
Try eating some fruit rather than a sugary snack. Dried fruit, like dates or raisins, is a great way to bring your blood sugar up without doing any damage to your diet.
Make sure you always have a few healthy snacks on hand. If you start to shake, take a deep breath, then relax with a nice healthy snack. You’ll start to feel better in no time at all. Wash down your snack with a nice glass of water; you’ll want to stay hydrated as well.
If You Are Shaking From Drinking Coffee It’s Time To Make Changes
If you find yourself shaking after drinking coffee, then it’s definitely time to stop, for now at least. Don’t get too bent out of shape about it, it happens. It’s all that caffeine! It can give you the jitters. If you’re like me, it’s easy to lose track of how many cups of coffee you drink each day. I wake up with one, and then I sometimes have another before I get the dog out the door for a walk. Since I work from home throughout my day, I’ll have coffee even during the nighttime.
It’s a wonder I don’t have the shakes from coffee more often than I do. It’s happened before, but usually my body tells me no before I get there. I’ll want a different type of beverage instead for a break. That’s what you’ll have to do as well, and by the way, you’ll want something without caffeine. It’s best to balance out your coffee drinking with plenty of water. After all, coffee isn’t going to hydrate you.
You can also drink decaffeinated coffee if it’s more the taste that you’re after at a certain point. Keep both on hand, and when you’ve had your share of caffeine, switch to decaf. There are also 1/2 caffeine versions of coffee for those avid coffee fans. Trust me, I know where you’re coming from. That coffee gives me the jolt of energy I need sometimes for my fingers to fly.
You do need to watch how much coffee you drink though. Start counting those cups if you need to, or make one of those switches I mentioned. You don’t have to drink 8 cups of dark roast a day to keep the doctor away. Yes, it’s funny, but it can be a serious matter, so don’t allow yourself to shake from drinking coffee again.
What To Do If You’re Shaking From Anxiety

If you’re wanting to start with tea though, here’s a simple tip. Sit down with a cup of herbal tea the next time you start shaking. Drink it slowly; don’t rush. Little by little, your shaking should start to subside.
3. Go Outside
If the weather is nice, a quick trip outdoors can help you to shop shaking. Breathing fresh air can help anxiety symptoms, and being around nature makes it easier for people to calm down.
Try to take a quick walk around the block. By the time you get back home, your shaking should have come to a stop.
